Access is plugged into the UK creative industries. We are able to build partnerships with organisations, companies and artists, which many schools and colleges would envy. We work with national and local festivals, games companies, studios, managers, talent agencies/shows, manufacturers and retailers. Here is a selection of our national partners. FOCUSRITE & NOVATION
This partnership with Focusrite/Novation, will give you the chance to get your hands on over £500 of FREE Focusrite audio plug-ins, supported by special Focusrite workshops.
FESTIVAL REPUBLIC
You’ll have unique opportunities to showcase your work, from a local gig, to the chance to perform on a festival stage at events like Latitude. Sound engineers & business students can work behind the scenes.
AUTODESK
An industryleading software developer, creating the tools used by developers in the games industry. Access is an Autodesk Academic Partner (AAP) which gives us access to the latest tools and developments in the sector.
DISTRIBEAT
Our partnership with worldwide distribution company, Distribeat, allows you to market your music through all major online stores including iTunes.
MUSIC GLUE
Music Glue is a global direct-to-fan platform used by 26,000 artists worldwide to sell tickets, merchandise, music and more direct to their audience from one customisable website.
TWINE
Our students get free Twine membership, which is an online platform allowing creative people to collaborate on projects and earn money!
BBC MUSIC INTRODUCING
A service dedicated to promoting new music talent. Each centre works closely with their respective BBC Introducing teams to run projects, feature acts and collaborate on promoting and supporting local music.
MANAGEMENT COMPANIES
We promote industry masterclasses by artists represented by Tri-Tone and 7pm Management. You will gain advice and guidance from working musicians and producers. There are also visits from guest speakers in the media sector.
LAST NIGHT A DJ SAVED MY LIFE
We work with this charity to stage the annual House the House DJ competition. The winner gets to spin the tunes at the House of Commons.
ROCKSTAR
A multi-awardwinning film, visual effects and 3D animation studio.Media students can get the chance to work on projects and gain experience there.
TUNECORE
An independent digital music distribution service which allows artists to retain 100% of their sales revenue through stores such as Spotify, iTunes and Amazon.
BBC ACADEMY
Offering education and training for young people wanting to work in the creative industries. Access helps deliver music workshops for the Academy at Radio 1 Big Weekend events.
THE VOICE & THE X FACTOR
You can get the chance to audition in closed showcases direct to the producers of The Voice and X Factor.
THE NATIONAL VIDEOGAME ARCADE
They are closely linked with the UK video games industry and provideinsight into the history of gaming and game development. This gives Access students a close connection to UK developers and potential industry engagement.
LOCKWOOD PUBLISHING
The developer of Avakin Life. Access’s relationship with them provides access to a network of developers in Nottingham and industry-lead briefs for student to work towards.
CUBECRAFT
They work closely with Minecraft to create mini-games and interactive content. Access' relationship with Cubecraft gives us an insight into the industry with the chance to offer work experience to students.
