How to survive a festival

Festivals are always an adventure. They combine music, with great friends and fancy dress outfits and are a great place to create some unforgettable memories.
But for a first time festival goer, the mud, lack of shower, or let’s be honest, any sanitation at all, can come as a bit of a shock.
Luckily, we’ve come up the ultimate festival survival guide!
EMBRACE IT
You’re going to get dirty, just deal with it, everyone is in the same boat. Baby wipes and antibacterial gel do make things slightly easier though.
WEAR WELLIES
Don’t panic ladies, you can get fashionable wellies. Come rain or shine, wear wellies. Even if they aren’t protecting you from mud, they can still protect you from the toilets!
ARRIVE EARLY
By early, we mean early. If it’s later than 8am, don’t expect there to be any decent camping spots left. The last thing you want, is a mile long trek every time you want to see a band or grab something to eat.
GET A BUMBAG
Most festival goers are chilled and trustworthy people who are all there for the love of great music. However, it’s better to be safe than sorry. Keep your valuables on you at all times and don’t bring what you can’t afford to lose.
DON’T PADLOCK YOUR TENT
A padlock is like a magnetic to thieves. It screams, ‘ I have expensive stuff in here’, even if you don’t.
MARK YOUR TERRITORY
Remember, there will be 10’s of 1000’s of tents pitched very close together. Make yours stand out with a ribbon or flag, so it’s easier to find.
KEEP HYDRATED
And don’t forget to eat. It’s easily done when you have so much adrenaline pumping around your body. T the last thing you want to do, is get unwell and ruin the experience for yourself.
FINALLY
Enjoy it- festivals are amazing.
