Be a student of Nottingham Trent University

Access Creative College has partnered with Nottingham Trent University (NTU), the 2017 University of the Year, to deliver its range of foundation degrees. The Sunday Times awarded NTU the status of Modern University of the Year 2018 citing ‘A focus on the student experience together with strong engagement with employers’.

By signing up to one of our foundation degrees you will become a student of NTU. This means your education and experience will be supported throughout by the university. This will include access to online support and library facilities as well as student union membership. At the end you will receive a degree from NTU and you will have options to progress on to a full degree programme if you wish.

NTU’s vision is to create the university of the future through five key strategic themes:

  • creating opportunity;
  • valuing ideas;
  • enriching society;
  • connecting globally;
  • empowering people.

The university has an excellent record of, and active strategy for, employer engagement, meaning that students can gain access to the industry to launch their careers.

Three key bodies responsible for the governance of the university are the University Executive Team, Board of Governors and Academic Board.

As a student you will be able to join Nottingham Trent Students’ Union (NTSU), giving you all the discount benefits that comes with union membership.

NTSU are there to represent your needs and views as a student, with people in place to represent you on all aspects of your experience with the university, making sure that your voice is heard.

They also have their own independent Information and Advice Service to support you. Whether you’re looking for advice on money matters, housing or mental health, their trained advisors are on-hand to help.
