If you’re interested in expanding your knowledge of computing and need some foundation skills or to enhance your exam and/or employability experience, you can do that on the Computing Level 2 course.
You might have an interest in software engineering, cyber security, data science, network infrastructure, games development and programming but haven’t achieved the grades for a Level 3 course quite yet.
This course covers all the basic principles of computing to get you going. From programming (games, app, web), Network infrastructure, digital support, computer hardware, virtual and cloud environments to network monitoring, cyber security, data management, business context and project management.
You’ll get to use programming environments and libraries as well as physical machines, network components like routers, switches, server, cabling. You’ll work with industry-standard technology and software and learn the fundamentals of cyber and network security, from identifying threats to testing for vulnerabilities within a system.
