You wouldn’t be looking at this course if you weren’t into computers. But how much do you know about how computers work and how they communicate with each other? Ever wondered how you can click a button on a PC and, magically, your page is fed out of a printer in another room? Maybe you’re more into cyber security; how people hack and how organisations protect against it. Well this course covers both of those queries. Network infrastructure forms the backbone of how computers and hardware work together. Without it, there would be no online gaming, no modern communication, no Discord. Knowing how to design, build and secure networks is a skillset that will prepare you for a wide range of careers in the digital sector, and one that will make you highly valuable to any employer.
The course is constructed with elements to build your knowledge so you can actually design, build and secure a network yourself. Using physical machines and network components like routers, switches, servers and cabling, you’ll learn how to offer digital support, use virtual and cloud environments, programme for networks, test vulnerabilities in networks and secure them as well as develop your skills in data management and importantly, project management.
You’ll work with industry standard technology and software. Everything from packet monitoring, penetration testing, network design and virtual machines. You will build and test network environments to ensure they meet requirements.
