If you’re interested in becoming a front-end, back-end or even a full stack software developer and need some foundational skills or to enhance your exam and/or employability experience, the Software Development Level 2 course is a great place to start.

You might have an interest in software engineering, cyber security, data science, network infrastructure, games development and programming but haven’t achieved the grades for a Level 3 course quite yet.

This course covers all the basic principles of computing to get you going. From programming (games, app, web), network infrastructure, digital support, computer hardware, virtual and cloud environments to network monitoring, cyber security, data management, business context and project management.

You’ll get to use programming environments and libraries as well as physical machines, network components like routers, switches, server, cabling. You’ll work with industry standard technology and software and learn the fundamentals of cyber and network security, from identifying threats to testing for vulnerabilities within a system.
