GOT WHAT IT TAKES?
We want your creative passion and commitment to develop above all else. However, you will also need to demonstrate that you are able to work at Level 2 (GCSE standard). You need a combination of GCSE grades, with the majority at 3-2 (or D-E), with a grade 3 in mathematics and English.

COURSE ELEMENTS

You will work on Information Technology projects that develop your specialist skills and knowledge in producing:

  • IT systems and software;
  • Websites and mobile apps.

By completing projects, you will prepare for study at Level 3, improving crucial vocational maths and English skills in the process. You will grow your work-related skills through a variety of opportunities in industry.

The framework for this course includes the following:

  • Support with the development of your study skills, plus reflective and resilience skills to make you T Level ready or ready for your next career step
  • You will improve your Maths and English within the context of the digital environment. We will support you to achieve at least a grade 4 at GCSE.
  • You will develop the skills, behaviours, attitude and confidence to complete an Industry Placement or/and be successful in work in the future
AFTER YOU FINISH

You’ll be ready to tackle the Level 3 T Level in Digital Production Design & Development, one of our other Level 3 quals, take an Apprenticeship or be ready for the world of work.

HOW TO APPLY

You can apply for the course by clicking APPLY below. It typically takes around 10-20 minutes to complete and we look forward to receiving your application.

Passion and energy always comes first, however, it is important that we place you on the right level of course for your current skill set.

  • LEVEL 2: you will need GCSEs at grades 3-2 or D-E, including mathematics and English, or their equivalent.
  • LEVEL 3: you will need to show that you are capable of working at Level 3 (A Level standard) by achieving at least four GCSEs at grades 4-9 (C-A*), including mathematics & English, or other equivalent qualifications.

Other grades will be considered on a case by case basis. Places are conditional based on this achievement and we will discuss options with you if you do not attain these.

If you are still at school we recommend you supply a school reference confirming your predicted qualification grades.

Interviews

Once you have applied, we will contact you to arrange an interview date. Your interview is all about placing you on the right course, rather than being a test of your abilities.

Do come prepared to talk about your interest in the subject and how you want to progress. Bring a portfolio of work, or show us links to your work online.

We’ll give you more information and guidance for your interview once we have received your application. In the meantime, read Freya’s useful guide to interviewing on our blog.

Please let us know if you require any support in completing your application form or any special arrangements for attending your interview.
