Exciting things to come for Access

Here at ACC, the hard work never stops and we have some really exciting things going on during the next 6 weeks, ready for your arrival. We want to give you a sneak peak of what’s on offer to our students.

  1. London

Facilities and tech 

As a music, media and games campus, London has something for everyone. From a performance theatre, band rehearsals rooms and digital recording studio to an iMac Music and Media tech suit and games lab fully kitted out for all your gaming needs.

Meet the student…  

Rashaan is a songwriter/producer who started with us on a level 1 course and has been with us up until level 3. “They were all big transitional stages as I felt that every level required a different level of myself.”

Facilities and tech 

For the new start in September, you will be welcomed with an all new and updated media kit and an enhanced 25 pax games suit.

Meet the tutor… 

Jack Higson is Pathway Manager for Music Performance. He has played in bands who have supported the likes of The Hoozies, The Little Comets and Ash. He’s played at numerous festivals such as Parklife.

Facilities and tech 

We are going to welcome you to a brand new campus that open this year as well as all new Ableton and Ableton Push 2 controllers for all our Music Producers.

Meet the student… 

Jan Andes is studying Film, Video and Photography. He covered Social Meek Week 2019 in Bristol. He has also been behind the camera at a number of festivals including Dot to Dot.

Facilities and tech 

Over the summer we are having a brand new Games lab built for all the new, aspiring gamers joining in September. The lab will be filled with all new tech including Overclockers PCs! We also know that it’s important for you to take a break so we are giving the common area a face lift too!

Meet the student… 

Billy Hewitt is a Digital Media student and an aspiring animator and photoshop artist. He is working with Jurassic Journey to create animations to be played around their adventure park.

Facilities and tech 

If mixing desks are your thing, check out our new Audient which includes equipment by: Focusrite, ProTools, Logic, Celemony, Waves, Yamaha, KRK, AKG, Rode, Sennheiser, TLA, Drawmer, Lexicon, Roli and more. We also have a number of new and swanky games and media suites. Our exciting new partnership with Pirate Studios means our students can get even more hands on in the industry and practice in real life rehearsal studios!

Meet the tutor… 

Ana is the Games Pathway Manager and is predominantly a 3D artist using software such as ZBrush and 3Ds Max. Her main love is character creation and development and she has built a range of different characters fitting into the fantasy genre.

Facilities and tech 

As a music focused campus York has something for everyone with facilities from band rehearsal rooms and digital recording studio to an iMac Music and Media tech suit and a chill out zone that is open every hour of the day.

Meet the student… 

Alice Simmons is a singer/songwriter who is studying Music Performance. She is currently recording her EP and along with a number of ACC students, she worked backstage at Slam Dunk festival this year.

The building works over the summer will mean you will be walking into a campus with a new media suite and games lab! 

Meet the tutor… 

Teddy Pester is the Games Course Manager. He is also active in the industry and works as an indie game developer and composer. His first solo game development project was “The Bears and the Bees” which to today’s date has over 6000 downloads.
