You will work alongside industry professionals; Rosie O’Sullivan, Ryan Titmus, Ashley Allen and Paul Foad at the incredible Mushrooms Studios. You will have the opportunity to fulfil different roles within the session, including producer, top liner, composer, session player and engineer to produce a song for an artist. This will give you a chance to experience what our degrees have to offer and our links to industry.
Ashley Allen holds over 15 years of experience in the performing arts industry as a professional musician and private workshop/piano instructor. He has had the pleasure of working, recording and playing with many notable music industry figures such as Dionne Warwick, Gregory porter, Aynsley Lister, Julie Dexter and Omar. He has performed across Europe and further a field, most recently performing for the Commonwealth Games in Australia.
Ryan Titmus is a producer, songwriter and DJ, working with artist’s from the UK, Europe, South Africa, the USA and Canada, in a range of styles including Pop, House and EDM with heavy support from BBC Introducing and Capital FM. Ryan has performed at festivals across the UK supporting acts such as the likes of SugarHill Gang, You Me At Six and Performed DJ sets overseas
As a professional singer, Rosie O’Sullivan has been privileged to perform as a solo artist on Major UK Festivals and legendary stages such as The Albert Hall, Symphony Hall. Rosie has worked with a variety of artists such as, The Three Degrees, The Real Thing, Shalamar, T’Pau, Gabrielle and Martha Reeves to name a few.
From Punk to Pop, Birmingham and beyond, Paul Foad’s career has included performance, composition and publishing across the many areas of popular music. From his seminal band The Au Pairs, cited as an influence for Kurt Cobain, to his ground-breaking book, The Caged Guitarist, to Jazz, world tours, and studio sessions with many leading writers, Paul continues to be a leading light within the Access HE team.
