We’re very excited to announce a joint venture partnership with the newly launched National College Creative Industries Ltd (NCCI Ltd), which will see us delivering Apprenticeships across the country!
As you may already know, we have campuses all over the UK and we were chosen by the government’s education department, to take on this exciting opportunity, to deliver this method of employer-led, work focused training to help forge more exciting careers in the creative industries than ever before. Jobs in the digital sector now account for 20 per cent of all vacancies in the UK and the NCCI Ltd is in response to the growing needs of this market.
With National Apprenticeship Week 2020 happening 3rd – 7th February, the timing couldn’t be better for us to get busy uniting apprentices and businesses, and we’re so excited to begin working in partnership with the range of employers associated with the National College of Creative Industries. The O2 Academies and the National Theatre are just a few of the names on the long and impressive list.
This joint venture means a closer collaboration with businesses in the sector and more choice for those looking to select a route to employment that’s the right fit for them. Apprenticeships offer a different style of learning, which suit students who are looking for an alternative to the traditional classroom set up. Apprentices also benefit from learning the most current skills on the job, which are highly in demand by employers the world over. In addition to the ‘earn while you learn’ benefits with no tuition fees, Apprenticeships offer valuable insight into the everyday challenges and rewards that the world of work can offer.
Over the past few years, there has been a huge change in mindset from employers who are now looking to become more inclusive and take candidates from a diverse range of backgrounds. This growing trend is particularly evident within the creative industries, and we are extremely proud of our alumni, who’ve come from a variety of our campuses and courses, that have gone on to do amazing things within their chosen fields.
We’ve been helping students forge careers in the creative industries for nearly three decades – from music performance and production through to event management and games art. We look forward to welcoming a host of new apprentices as well as giving our existing students studying Level 2 the chance to take on a Level 3 Apprenticeship via this new partnership.
