Are you looking for an introduction into the music industry and music performance? This course combines production, technology and performance to give you a broad grounding of the industry and how entry into the industry works.
You will explore a wide range of performance and technical skills as well as different styles of music, looking at what ‘building blocks’ make up a style of music as well as how they make you feel.
This course will build you up to becoming a professional musician or artist – developing your practical, theoretical and contextual knowledge.
This isn’t just for performers with an instrument. If you are a singer and want to learn how to keep your voice healthy, understand musical arrangement and composition whilst building on your IT and other core skills, then you’ll fit in perfectly on this course too.
You will finish the course with a bank of repertoire as well as a portfolio, ready to take into the world of work, whether this is in a business or self employed.
This performance course is based around skill development and we want to make sure that you have everything you need to take the next steps. Through practical music making, you will learn composition and keyboard skills, explore music production software
You will have access to fully equipped rehearsal rooms to practice your repertoire working in bands. You will get the chance to take your skills out of the rehearsal room and onto the stage with a number of college gigs. If you like writing and arranging songs, that’s great as you’ll have the chance to do that too!
