Bristol, on the banks of the River Avon, is a beautiful, passionate and artistic city filled with young creatives. It’s colourful, bright and one of the UK’s fastest growing creative cities. A long term home to the BBC with a Channel 4 hub as well, it’s also the home of Banksy, Massive Attack and Aardman Animations.
Bristol has a thriving creative scene, shored up by spaces like Motion, Thekla, creative hub The Island and record store/live music venue Rough Trade, as well as festivals like Love Saves The Day and Bristol Harbour Festival.
In technology terms, Bristol is flying, being named one of the UK’s fastest growing tech hubs in 2021. Clearly then, regardless of the field you want to be in, Bristol has an industry waiting for you to get your teeth into.
And that’s where ACC comes in. Our refurbished centre, based in the heart of the city on Broadmead, has been designed to be as bright, colourful and exciting as the rest of town. The space is hyper-social with dedicated areas for you to network with your coursemates and our other students between lessons.
Speaking of hyper-social, you can take advantage of our strong links with incredible local industry powerhouses including Future Publishing, Airbus, Hippodrome, Flamingo, Future, Rough Trade, Hip-Hop Coffee Shop and Wake the Tiger. We know that bridges to industry are super important, so you’ll spend your time here building them with bespoke projects and sessions to build your connections and get your foot in the door.
We’ve also kitted the place out from top to bottom with the best, industry grade equipment and specialist spaces like photo studios, green screen rooms, performance spaces and production pods, so you’ll be ready for industry with an understanding of the tools and skills needed to really flourish.
I have a passion for creativity and realise the massive potential impact that it can have on the lives of individuals. Having been born and raised in Bristol, I also care deeply about the city and the South West Region. We live and work in an incredible area with amazing opportunities. I love working with talented staff to help students explore and enjoy their craft. I also value the opportunity to work closely with the community and wider stakeholders to ensure that the experiences we provide to students positions them well to progress to further study, gain employment, set up their own creative enterprise or use their skills to transition into other sectors.
