Video, Photography and Design

Level 2

This course teaches you how to use photographic equipment, develop graphic design skills, design and create a video and develop some animation skills.

Three or more GCSEs at grade 3 or above, including English (Language or Literature)

RSL Level 2 Diploma

Build the necessary tools, guidance, and resources to enhance your existing skill set and interests in media.

Engage in a variety of activities and projects that challenge you to apply your acquired knowledge and skills in practical contexts.

Refine your abilities in design, photography, videography and animation, broadening your understanding, and developing a deeper level of expertise.

Explore video editing, graphic design, social media and marketing.

Learn to effectively utilise industry-standard software and tools, gaining skills in applications like Adobe Creative Suite, and other key professional tools.

Refine your technical and academic skills so you can progress onto Level 3 study and become more employment-ready.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

MATHS AND ENGLISH

If you are 16-18 and don’t already have GCSE Grades 4 or above in mathematics and/or English Literature or Language, it will be compulsory for you to do a GCSE level maths and/or English course alongside your studies with us. Learn more here.

CAREERS AND PROGRESSION

With all the games development and transferable skills you can learn on this course, you should be in a great position to go on to study at Level 3 and develop your skills even further. You can then head off to University, study a Level 4/5 course or go straight into the world of work.
