Learn how to express yourself with electronic music on this professionally-driven, practice-based diploma. Covering many aspects of music technology, but designed primarily for those interested in DJ-ing and production, this course will equip you with the skills you need to start making and mixing the music you love.

Upon completion of this diploma, you will also have gained the qualifications necessary to progress on to university-level study.

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

You will be trained in music production techniques essential to developing a signature sound, such as sampling, sound design and recording, whilst powering up your performance through hands-on explorations into turntablism and the art of mixing. You will also develop your personal, business and management skills. Drawing on the real-world experience of your tutors, you’ll gain an insight into the inner workings of the music industry – and how you can find employment and recognition within it.

QUALIFICATION

Level 3 Access to HE Diploma in Creative Music Technology & Production, 60 credit qualification worth a maximum of 144 UCAS points.

English GCSE or equivalent at 4 (Grade C) or above

FEES

Learners wishing to undertake an Access to HE course will be required to apply for an Advanced Learner Loan, which is how the course is paid for. We understand the concerns, worries and stress that comes with taking out a loan; however, Student Finance England will ‘write off’ any outstanding Advanced Learner Loan balances you owe for an Access to HE course once you complete a higher education course. Meaning, you do not have to repay it.
